Join meteorologist Joe Rao for a lively discussion of an upcoming lunar phenomenon! During the early hours of March 3rd, 2026, the Moon will gradually transform into an eerie glowing globe that will resemble a Japanese Lantern hanging in the sky. An eclipse of the Moon is a dramatic natural event which has been described in records going back for centuries in many civilizations. Accurate prediction could then command power and prestige. Coming on the heels of the dramatic total eclipse of the Sun in April 2024, we’re going to get a chance to watch as our nearest neighbor in space becomes temporarily darkened Total Eclipse of the Moon takes place. In this presentation we’ll provide all the details on how to best prepare for this remarkable celestial sight.
