Program Description

Event Details

Expressive Arts Therapy workshops are aimed at promoting self-care, creativity, and therapeutic emotional outlets. This workshop includes activities with watercolor paints, such as painting your safe space or an affirmation card to oneself. We discuss the importance of expressing one's emotions and practicing different modes of self-care, such as meditation and art to release any anxious or depressing thoughts. We also go over water paint brush techniques as well as exploring with different texture using rubbing alcohol, plastic wrap, and wax crayons. This is a great outlet for people to express their emotions and feelings in a creative way.

This is held in partnership with Community Mental Health Promotion and Support (COMHPS) program offered through Family Services of Westchester
